A lover of resilience and an admirer of endurance, he is drawn to ultra-Endurance sports and constantly in search of the next extreme challenge. He enjoys exploring the world with humor, curiosity, and a touch of surrealism, all while balancing on the delicate edge of scientific pragmatism.
Graduated in Statistics, he works in the field of Data Science and Analytics, with a particular interest in modeling and machine learning, drawn to the art of analyzing collected data and using it to assign probabilities to future events.
Currently based in Los Angeles, California, where he works as Senior Director of Analytics at FanDuel.
Matteo Iannucci
Born and raised in Ciociaria (Italy), he moved to Rome to earn a degree in Statistical Sciences before embarking on an international journey that took him to Sweden, Austria, Argentina, and finally the United States. During his eight years in the U.S., he launched new ventures and held executive roles, including serving as Vice President at FanDuel, a leader in the online sports betting industry.
He has led analytics teams and taken on cross-functional responsibilities, with an approach that blends analytical rigor and strategic vision. His hallmark is the ability to turn data into decisions, always aiming to bring innovation and tangible impact to every project.
In 2023, he returned to Rome with his wife and three children, driven by a desire to rediscover life and work in Italy. It marked a new chapter in his personal and professional journey, one that combines the wish to live in a more familiar environment with the ambition to contribute, in his own way, to his country’s often overlooked potential.
He follows international politics with great interest and feels a strong connection to those who fight for their freedom, such as the Ukrainian people.
